Warning Message:Large northwest swell will impact the coast of northern and
central California from late tonight into Sunday. Swell heights
will range between 17 and 19 feet with 17 second swell periods.
Expect large breaking waves approaching 20 feet in the surf zone
this weekend. In addition to large breaking waves...expect
dangerous rip currents as well. Swell heights will diminish below
15 feet late Sunday afternoon.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area...producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
