San Francisco, CA — May 14, 2002 — CustomWeather, the world’s leading supplier of syndicated weather data has launched a Hurricane and Tropical Storm Tracking solution allowing clients to receive up-to-date tropical system data. Now, for the first time, companies can access this information using queries via http. This service becomes available just as hurricane season gets underway on June 1st.

CustomWeather’s hurricane and tropical storm tracking service is the only solution of its kind available via an XML query via http. In addition to the XML files which offer complete tracking information, CustomWeather also provides graphical tracking maps, and tropical weather alerts, which are made available to clients in real-time as they are issued by the National Weather Service. This new weather service compliments CustomWeather’s already robust suite of weather services, which also includes a real-time severe weather alert service and a one-of-a-kind international severe weather advisory service.

The Hurricane & Tropical Storm Tracking Service will become available to clients beginning June 30, 2002.
