Jabber Announces Partnership with Custom Weather - Leading Provider of Syndicated Global Weather Data

Jabber to integrate CustomWeather content, demonstrating extensibility of Jabber clients

Denver, CO and San Francisco, CA — August 27, 2002 — Jabber, Inc., a leading developer of software for extensible instant messaging (IM), whose investors include Webb Interactive Services, Inc. (OTCBB: WEBB) and France Telecom (NYSE: FTE) today announced a partnership with Custom Weather, a leading provider of syndicated global weather data, that will integrate personalized weather information for more than 58,000 locations worldwide into Jabber instant messaging products.

According to the agreement, Jabber will deliver CustomWeather’s comprehensive weather content to its enterprise customers as part of the Jabber Extensible IM solution. The inclusion of a CustomWeather tab on Jabber clients demonstrates the ability to build XML and Web content into the user’s IM experience. Using Jabber’s extensible platform, enterprise and service provider customers will build similar tabs for streaming corporate content as well.

Capabilities of the CustomWeather tab in Jabber clients include access to some of the most comprehensive global weather available today – weather for more than 58,000 locations can be accessed via the CustomWeather tab. Weather provided includes 48-hour detailed forecasts, extended forecasts, severe weather alerts, maps, climate data and more.
