CUSTOMWEATHER ON VODAFONE LIVE! PHONES THROUGHOUT EUROPE

SAN FRANCISCO — November 5, 2002 — Consumers’ obsession with the weather can now be instantly satisfied with up to the minute weather information now available in Europe as part of the new Vodafone live! service. Launched in October by Vodafone, home to the world’s largest mobile community, it offers the most comprehensive weather information ever from Vodafone. It includes everything from international temperatures to ski reports and even high tide times ­ all available via an exciting and intuitive color interface. The information is supplied by CustomWeather to enable Vodafone to offer weather information to over 125,000 destinations by the end of the year.

Vodafone live! launched in October 2002 and draws on the excitement of mobile services and content delivered in colour, sound and pictures. Mobile users will enter a world of news and entertainment on their phones through an easy-to-use, icon-driven colour menu. The comprehensive content offered by Vodafone live! on mobile phones uses sound, colour and images that include film, sports and music, in addition to a catalogue of Europe’s best mobile games.

By simply choosing the ‘News and Weather’ menu icon on Vodafone live! customers will gain access to CustomWeather’s detailed weather information for journey planning, sports plans etc.
